Do you have medical equipment at home that depends on electricity?

If you or a member of your household depends on electricity for critical medical support - please let us know.

Simply complete this form and send it to us as soon as possible.  You will need to provide us with written confirmation from your health professional outlining the critical medical equipment at the property.

We'll then note on your account that you are a 'medically dependent vulnerable customer'.  That then identifies to us that disconnection of your electricity supply would present a threat to you or a member of your household's health or wellbeing.

Have an Emergency Response Plan

We can never guarantee electricity supply will be continuous, temporary electricity outages do occur form time to time.  As a responsible retailer TrustPower urges you to have an emergency reponse plan in place.  An emergency response plan could range from ensuring that a standby battery is always fully charged to relocating to a friend, family members or other premises which has supply of electricity.

If the disconnection of your power is a threat to a member of your household's health or wellbeing - please let us know immediately.

If you are having difficulty paying your power account you may also like to consider seeking help from a social agency such as Work and Income.  You can call them on 0800 559 009 and they will ensure that you receive every assistance available to you.

If you prefer, you can nominate someone else to talk to us 
If you are having difficulty paying, or your power is likely to be disconnected - you can provide the names of one or more people who have agreed to assist at these times.

You can nominate a family member, friend or a social agency.  Their role would be to communicate on your behalf and ensure you fully understand the situation, or they may choose to provide financial assistance if needed.

If we are not able to contact you directly at any time, we will contact the person you have nominated.
