We set up Lend A Hand Foundation not only for financial reasons, but for ties and links in the business communities. Lend A Hand Foundation is just the community in action, helping people at a personal level. Trustpower have been an important part of that, since last century.

Partners and business supporters

The Trustpower Lend A Hand Foundation partners vary in each area. Partners include Rotary Clubs and Malcam Charitable Trust. See each region for details. 

We welcome businesses of all sizes to become supporters of the Foundation. Your support will go directly to your region’s Foundation and you can donate money, provide mentoring, goods or services. All support is valued!

How to apply for support

Any individual or charitable organisation can apply for support. The application must relate to a specific individual or community need. Before applying, you or your group must have made a significant effort or contribution of your own. 

Applications will not be considered for: 

  • Commercial or profit-orientated organisations or individuals.
  • Projects with religious or political purpose.
  • Rents or overhead costs.
  • Conference organisation.
  • Completed projects.

You must use an official application form. You can get this and application guidelines, from any of the Foundation's business supporters in the region where you’re applying for support.

Trustpower Dunedin Lend A Hand Foundation 

Dunedin was the first Trustpower Lend A Hand Foundation, starting in 2004. The Foundation partners are the Malcam Charitable Trust and the St Kilda Rotary Club.

Trustpower West Coast Lend A Hand Foundation

Lend A Hand was launched on the West Coast in 2009, in conjunction with the Rotary Clubs of Westport, Hokitika and Greymouth.

Central Otago Lend A Hand Foundation Trust was launched in 2010 and is run in partnership with the Rotary Clubs of Alexandra, Cromwell and Roxburgh, who each provide a trustee.
