Being involved in local communities underpins who we are as a company. So around New Zealand and in South Australia we often have community news to share, for example on the Trustpower Community Awards programme and Trustpower Lend A Hand Foundation.
The West Coast Volunteer Fire Brigade has won the Supreme Award at the 2014 Trustpower Grey District Community Awards.
Busy and talented student Will Schmetz from South Westland Area School has been awarded the Youth Community Spirit Award for his massive contributions to the community.
The Kumara Residents Trust has won the Supreme Award at the 2014 Trustpower Westland Community Awards.
With 60 entries received for the Trustpower Taupō District Community Awards, locals have really gotten behind their volunteers. The Trustpower Taupō District Community Awards, which recognise and reward voluntary groups for the outstanding contribution they make to the local community, are run in partnership with the Taupō District Council and The Radio Network Taupo. Entries for the Community Awards closed on Friday 18 July.
With entries for the Trustpower Marlborough Community Awards closing at 5pm on Friday 15 August, locals have just a few more days to ensure their favourite voluntary groups are part of the region’s biggest celebration of volunteers.
The grassroots organisation Focus Paihia, behind the revamp and revitalisation of a Paihia waterfront car park, have been recognised as Supreme Winners at the Trustpower Far North Community Awards.
Two of the Far North’s talented and generous youth have been acknowledged through the Trustpower Youth Community Spirit Award, with Cody Makaua of Te Kura Taumata o Pangaru being named as the Winner of the Award.
With 51 entries received for the Trustpower Community Awards in the Tauranga region and another 45 in the Western Bay of Plenty, locals have really got behind their volunteers.
Entries for the Trustpower Clutha District Community Awards close at 5pm on Friday 25 July and there is more than $5000 up for grabs.
For undertaking such a massive project that will benefit the wider community, the Aoraki Foundation took home the Supreme Award at the Trustpower Timaru District Community Awards.
